lion stuck on apple logo during install

im using iatkos l2 dvd,to install lion on my dell latitude d520 but during install it sticks on apple logo screen, i created a usb using my leopard laptop but that stays on black screen after i get the dell boot screen

 back to lion dvd, ive searched google and found some posts with same problem where they have been given flags to try. ive tried these flags but not found a fix yet

-v scrolls through data then black screen
also, ive added extra 1g ram, swapped wifi for broadcom card and swapped hdd for 320g

verbose mode doesnt stay on long enough to get photo.

end up with black screen but still lit up etc

just to be curious i booted of the dvd, pressed f8 then chose usb, just to see if it might throw something useful out.

same thing happens with iatkos mountain lion, only reason for going this way is to get lion installed so i can create usb with my drivers pack etc. ive tried using vmware and virtualbox but get errors, now according to google the errors mean pc cant run  virtual machine as its not enabled in bios but its all seyt up according to a post ive found showing how to run osx in virtualbox

I had the same problem with snow leopard. Boot your d520 with external monitor connected and lid closed. Than try to open settings from dock and drag it to external monitor and than deactivate and activate internal display.  :shock: . Sounds weird but it is actually working  :no:.
