192847737733
After installing OS X Yosemite on my Acer Aspire 5733 and the Intel HD Graphics 4000 drivers, my display is strange and unusable. I have tried using the patcher and this makes no difference. Mavericks works fine on this laptop. El Capitan doesn't work though.
Codinger
Where did you get your files from? What config.plist / DSDT.aml / chameleon.org.boot.plist are you using? Wich Bootloader?
192847737733
Sorry about the long wait. I haven't checked this thread for a while. I got the Intel HD Graphics 4000 kexts from the guide at http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/286092-guide-1st-generation-intel-hd-graphics-qeci/. I am not using a DSDT. I am using chameleon. I have attached a HWINFO report. Aspire5733.HTM
192847737733
I'm not sure why I put Intel HD Graphics 4000. The kexts you linked are the ones I have already used. I am using the following settings: Single Link because my internal display's native resolution is 1366x768. Normal because it boots fine but the display is distorted and unusable. LCD+VGA LW1 Changing the link width makes the display worse. I currently have Mavericks installed on the laptop but I can install Yosemite on an external hard drive to test if a solution is working.
