rain.nguyen
I'm using a "dual boot window 7 and yosemite 10.10.5" PC, with clover bootloader. Now I want to install window 8 to my PC. I created a "windows 8.1 UEFI/GPT bootable usb", but I cant boot to this usb from clover bootloader. This usb works good on another pc running window 7. On my PC, when clover bootloader shows up, have one option is : msg boot from usb...( or something like that). I chose it, then black screen shows up with several line, that last one is " exitting in 30s".. and screen comes back to clover bootloader after 30s ). So, my question is how I can boot to my usb from clover bootloader ? Thank you and nice day!
owbp
Have you renamed and copied boot files as per line 4. in this guide (Making the installer)?
rain.nguyen
I just read it. So if I perform this guide, I dont have to install yosemite again, is that right? Thank you for your support.
owbp
Yes, i did it with my OS X 10.11 and Win 8. Since you have already Win and OS X working with Clover you should be ok with just "Making the installer" part of the guide. I didn't have Windows so i just copied file from .iso image instead using Rufus and Clover you have installed already should be able to boot your usb without problem. Rename those two files and copy boot64.efi to where it says and you should boot into installer. One more thing that could make a problem is Hybrid MBR drive (i don't know how you installed you Win7) when Win Setup asks you to chose partition . If that happens just follow this guide, from 1-6, on how to convert hybrid MBR to GPT. That should be it as far as dual booting goes, with already working Clover. owbp
Great, you'll have less work to do! So, you really only have to change those two files names and copy one to different folder on your usb. Let us know how it went!

Let us know how it went! it not work At the Clover Main Menu, I chose “Boot Microsoft EFI boot menu from your_USB_name”, but it didnt start the window installer, it shows one more clover main menu ( with basic theme, i think). Maybe if I delete clover bootloader i can boot to my usb to install windows 8.
owbp
Are you booting from HDD or USB? Try to boot into HDD Clover and then select “Boot Microsoft EFI boot menu from your_USB_name”. P.S. Dont delete Clover from HDD, but you can try removing it from USB.

owbp
Both Clovers screens show v3320. Is screenshot1 your Clover theme? You shouldn't delete it because it works. No need for it, something else is the case. If you did all steps in making the installer from that theme, you could ask @fusion71au in the same topic. He probably has the better idea of what is going on. I just followed his steps and installed Win without any problems.
