Hello,

I had a perfect installation for 10.11.1 on my HP Elitebook 8460p [sandy Bridge i7-2640M 2.8 GHz + HD3000 + 8 GB Ram] with Clover on MBR partition.

After updating to 10.11.2 the system broke and gives the attached KP.

No way to boot the system [-x or -s or booting from USB]

Any idea what causes the KP or how to fix it ?

TIA

It says, the launchd process (pid:1) couldn't get started. It may just be a corrupt software update. Try to reinstall it.

It rebooted one time and failed

So you applied the update in OSX and then it rebooted, you selected "Install (...)" instead of your usual boot partition and then what happened? Did the installation continue? It should continue and reboot one more time.

hello

did u patch appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext ?

good hack

I use Clover fix for the AICPM .... Anyway, I had to do a dirty reinstallation from the 10.11 installer and tried to reinstall the 10.11.2 update but seems it doesn't work as attached. In App Store it says 10.11.2 is already installed. Maybe that's why.

Well, hate to do things from scratch. Better to wait for 10.11.3 unless there is a solution without format the partition.
