No signal from Screen after installing Nvidia Web driver for GTX970

Hi all

I am having a porblemo with my Yosemite Hackintosh....After successfully updating to 10.10.5 I then downloaded the Nvidia Web drivers 346.02.03f01

The installation was successfull and I added nvda_drv=1 to my Kernal Flags as instructed in the Nvidia guide on tonymacX.

However upon rebooting into Yosemite the Apple logo appears and it loads about 1/3 of the way and the screen then completely shuts off saying No signal detected...

So I boot up with nrv_disable=1 and Yosemite boots up successfully but without the web drivers.

I changed to system definitions 14,2 and 14,1 and sometimes Yosemite boots up successfully without the screen turning off and sometimes it doesn't...most of the time however it doesn't boot correctly...

Any help would be greatly appreciated....here is my chameleon plist file.....

Hello!

TMx86 methods, tools and bootloaders are not supported here.

http://www.insanelym...ort-tonymacx86/ http://www.insanelym...and-iatkos-m-y/

If you want support for them, please hand over to where you have got them from or use here featured methods, tools and bootloaders to get proper support.

Have fun.

change this

invda_nrv=1

for this

nvda_drv=1

by the way

you may also need to add

npci=0x2000

to your flags

this is mine

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">

<key>GUI</key>
<string>No</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Instant Menu</key>
<string>Yes</string>

Hi sorry that was a stupid typo I made in the post....

I had it as nvda_drv=1.

Still got the No signal detected.

i imagined that about the typo

i also have nvidia 970 video card

do you have no signal right before the login screen?

that's a common problem if you are using mac pro bios 6.1

and also some other smbios i don't remember exactly what models right now but i think iMac too

anyway to make a long story short

here is the patched modified version of AppleGraphicsControl.kext

simply install that kext using kext wizard

also just because you have the right flags it doesn't mean that the bootloader is going to boot the system

i have my flag right but if i change the bootloader for a different version older or newer

my system might not boot

so different versions of the same bootloader "chameleon" is going to give you different results

make sure you try a few different versions and when you find one that works

stick with that one

i been using chameleon 2468 for about a year now

never had a single problem

almost forgot when i had that no signal problem the first time i bought the card

i tried with dvi and it works , maybe you are using hdmi or display port cable

changing the cable might also help until you apply the patch

then after you installed the patched modified version of AppleGraphicsControl.kext

you can use hdmi , display port , dvi

what ever you need or like

anyway good luck

hope you understand my english

Hi...your english is very good...

I tried installing that kext patch

but unfortunatley I still get the No signal detected...although one time it did work and I got excited then rebboted my computer to check again and then got the No Signal detected :(

I have my monitor plugged in the DVI-I port but with my Graphics card GTX970 superclocked I have two DVI ports one is DVI-I(Dual Link) and the other is DVI-D...so do you think I should try the other one the DVI-D? I would have to buy an adapter for it

I will go out and buy one and come back report back here if it works..

thanks so much for the advise and help...really apprecciate it :)
