kext injection for clover binary patches?

hey again guys.

so, i'm having a few issues with my ubs (again).

its my understanding that if using a clover patch to patch appleusbxhci (as outlined here : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/150-patched-appleusbxhci/), i have to enable kernel cache. so, does that mean i'd use the kernel flag UseKernelCache=Yes and rebuild caches with a tool like kext wizard? it says that the kext patching is done 'in the kernel cache' so i'm trying to see what is needed to activate this clover patch short of entering the info.

update- UseKernelCache=Yes was added to the boot flags via clover configurator. i then did the binary patch for internal drives to show up with their proper icon (ahci) and for realtek ALC 898 along with using the pikers patch. afterwards, i used disk utility to fix permissions/verify disk and then used kext wizard to rebuild kernel cache. finally, i rebooted and now these patches work!

to address the title question, i do not believe kext injection needs to be on unless there are kexts in the efi/clover/kexts/10.x (in this case, 10.10)
