Now Volume control worked and sound is worked.

4 output worked

2 input worked

Set DSDT LayoutID=9

Thanks for all hard work.

I have reinstalled OSX. Took me a while to get everything working as before.

Your kext like the ones before, gets installed, I get the volume icon and outputs and all but whenever I try to play anything be it flash or iTunes, it simply refuses to do the playback. I am lost as to what could be the problem. Maybe something I checked in Clover that I shouldn't have ? On the other hand VoodooHDA works fine.

EDIT: What SMBIOS are you guys using? I am using 6,1 .

Hi Sir!

I am using Creative codec too,

Basically, I was using Andrea's Audio kext from his post.

But the problem is no volume control working.

May I use your kext for my system?

How can I use it? Just put this kext file in the EFI/Clover/Kext/10.11.2 folder? or Should I use it by Kext utility?

Should I remove all VoodooHDA files? or Remove it only in the kext folder?

Sorry I am so noob.

Everything working good to me except Volume controller.

Please Help me Sir!

Joe

Oh, will update in a minute.

GA-X99-Gaming 5P

    - Atheros 2200e  Network Card

    - Creative Core3D Sound Card (CA0132)

Intel Core i7-5820K @ 4.5 GHz

16 GB RAM - 3000 MHz

GV-N75TOC-2GL (Gigabyte 750 Ti)

I see that you used "npci=0x2000". This bootflag sometime can make audio problem :) CMIIWW

How about to delete it?? Stuck at "PCI Configuration begin"????

Creative-CA0132

Remove VoodooHDA

Install to EFI/Clover/Kext/10.11

Set DSDT LayoutID=9

II nstall clover UEFI mode.

If Apple make an update,, then your AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext will be overwritten with new file :) , then will be no sound, and for Layout.xml.zlib + Platform.xml.zlib will be overwritten too, try to change "Layoutx.zml.zlib and Platform.zml.zlib" then insert patch OTF "XML to ZML" from Abxite's Method is the solution.

====

No worry for no sound after Update

====

So my reason to make "Creative-CA0132.kext" with info.plist inside of it because it's contain "HDAConfigDefault" of AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext. So, if you try same method like me,, then you have no worry about Apple Update :)

I think your method is better Andres, however until then I need to figure out what's preventing my playback.

Thank you for hard work  Myron and were capful and Andres zero cross.

So, DSDT part.

Actually, I have no DSDT setting in my system,,

Even don't know how to install DSDT or change it if I have it already.

I can remove VoodooHDA Kext from the folder name 10.11

And put your Kext into the same folder. Audio is gone now TT

The folder has AppleHDAdisabler file too. Should I remove it?

All hard work to Mirone.

Remove VoodooHDA

If work please conform.

Thank you Sir!

Do you know how to clean voodooAudio exactly like the brand new installed.

I see many things in my machine related to VoodooHDA.

And I think I don't have DSDT.

LayoutID=9 means Device ID? Mine is ID = 2 in my Config file.

I am so sorry that I am so noobie.

I don't know what I am talking about. I just want to make my volume controller working. BTW sound is working with Andrea's VoodooHDA kext.

Try this,

Edited : i upload new configuration. :)

Thank you !

I just tried the new EFI config, unfortunately still no playback. AppleHDA loads properly with volume control and all.

If I select my HDMI sound output, then playback works fine. If I change to the Creative Sound card, then the playback stops. Also, when it is unable to do the playback, the console gets flooded with the message:

18/01/16 02:37:27,000 kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDAController at line 6879

@Blacky, have you tried MP3 files maybe it's only a adobe flash issue, if you wanna do more tests you have to install codeccommander + had-verb and enter some terminal commands

OK, I downloaded the package.

To I put code commander in clover /KEXTS/10.11 ?

BTW, the playback problem is in any application, including iTunes.

Awesome guys, i've started this topic because i was not able to get this codec to work, then i've decide to patch it by myself.

Now it works, but not fully working, to get it fully working i need some more infos like:

VoodooHDA, volume control yes, only front and rear HP works, no mic

AppleHDA, from post #1, no volume control, no 6 channel, rear HP only buzzing noise

Thanks

There is no controller, with 0x80868D20 ID (in this case your ID)
inside the bin AppleHDAController, but yes ,0x80868C20,
this way we do:
find:         8680208C
Replace:   8680208D

The same can be done for other
codecs that does not have your driver ID
the binary of AppleHDAController, but that
does not mean it will work in all
cases.

you can try
replace with other IDs
controller and see if any one gives you
good result (or perhaps any).

I can;t believe I never thought of that. That should have been the first thing for me to check. I guess I suspected that the AppleHDA provided in this topic already had this patch in it.

Have any of you guys noticed that the bass is almost non-existent with the AppleHDA? I can now try a few more versions that you have been posting here. I have a 2+1 setup and in Windows I have great sound, in OSX the soundwaffer doesn't seem to get any signal.
