Colonel
I'm selling my iBook G3 12" 800MHz to save up some money towards a Mac Pro/iMac. I already have a MacBook so I no longer have any need for the iBook. Here are the specs. Update: I just got it factory refurbished from Apple. They gave it a new top bezel and a new HDD. White iBook G3 800MHz 256 MB of RAM CD-ROM Drive 12" LCD Display 30GB Hard Drive - Just replaced by Apple Mac OS X 10.3 Panther and Mac OS 9 AC adapter and Battery (Battery lasts about 4/5 hours) Apple Airport Wireless It's great for long trips thanks to it's battery. I'll be selling it all for $400. Here are some pics.

sandmanfvrga
Nice price, but a G3. I need an older Mac Laptop to do internet stuff, pictures, audio, and very little video capturing. Plus I couldn't pay it all up front. *sigh*. Oh well.

sandmanfvrga
I know I can't get this, but what can a G3 800 mhz do? I need to get pics off a camera, edited and look at mp3/wavs and save them out, and maybe capture some video. Can you do this on G3 800 mhz. Lostgame
Yeah, you can. I'm interested too, but I would also not be able to pay it all at once.
sandmanfvrga
I see all these ibooks from around $300 to $700 and don't know what to get. I know I need at least 512 ram, but I don't really understand the PPC architecture. I got G3 400 mhz PowerPC tower, well it is scrap now, but it ran pretty good. I just need to surf, chat, itunes maybe, pictures, audio, and maybe capture some video.

CyBrian
man... i don't have $300 and my laptop sucks (p1 233 w/ 96 mb ram.) so old that if i go to 1024x768 (native lcd resolution) it does 16 bit color (which isn't too bad but i definitely can tell the difference between that and 32 bit)
Urbz
Hehe...i have the exact same machine! I just wanted to add that for 300 dollars, this is an amazing offer. Anyone who wants an iBook and has $300, I think this is an impulse buy... So in case anyone's thinking of it, yes, you should.
Reanimation_LP
Just wanted to add. If anyone buys this and wants to max the RAM out to 640MB, I have a 512MB stick that works in these models, that I'll let go for an 80 dollar Best Buy gift card. Colonel
Interested in trading? Or just selling? I would really prefer money, but I would consider trading if we could strike a deal on something.

i.wanna.corndog
Is the RAM expandable on this? If so, what type of memory does it take? I've got a 256MB stick of PC2700 (DDR333) laying around, but I would like to know if it works....seems like a great deal regardless. Thanks!
