Hey guys,

I've been fiddling with my notebook for a while and managed to come up with many workarounds and procedures to get stuff working on it, but for this particular problem I guess I've run out of ideas. I'm using Niresh's Mavericks 10.9 and my situation after the installation is as follows:

  • boot0: error - I can fix that relatively easily by changing the blocksize.
  • The trackpad stops working, but if I use RehabMan's tools, it makes a comeback and works flawlessly.
  • No WiFi, no Ethernet. The ones onboard this notebook model don't have drivers, afaik. I'm using a USB dongle right now, and it's okay.

These are all ok, but I also encountered the black display problem. From what I observed:

- Using nv_disable=1 allows me to get to the desktop and work on a solution

- I installed nVidia's WebDriver-331.01.01b07.pkg which by itself doesn't really fix the problem, but

- Using a specific NVDAGF100Hal.kext I found, and editing the NVDAStartup.kext to include my graphics card hex address allows me to boot without the nv_disable=1 flag.

I get video on the main display, though I never managed to reach its full resolution of 1600x900, and I'm not sure I can use external displays since I plugged one on the VGA port to no avail. Another problem is that I don't think hardware acceleration is running, since I get some graphical glitches on Safari and slowdowns whenever I open the launchpad. Now, I honestly don't know whether I should seek a proper DSDT, an injection of some sort, a fallback to its initial state to clear up bogus kexts... so that's why I've come to you.  Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
