mc86
Hey y'all, After much consideration, I've decided not to go with an X99 build after all, and have gone instead with the much more stable X79 chipset. Anyhoo, I've put together a part list below. Does anyone know if there are any incompatibilities? mc86
Really? I keep hearing Nvidia works better because of the web drivers. If not, can you recommend a comparable AMD card? I was thinking the R9 390X originally.
Dwarfy
mc86,imo no one can recommend you a specific card, because in the end the recommender gets the blame if the user can't get the card to work. It's not that the recommendation is bad, it's simply that sometimes the user can't get it to work due to lack of research. Keep in mind, installing OS X on a PC requires a lot of research for a new beginner. And 390x cards are alright, Ti cards should be avoided, imo, they can cause trouble. If you go for AMD then reference cards are highly recommended. That's all I can say. Also, go with an apple wifi card, it will benefit you more in terms of getting Apple services, such as iCloud, iMessages ...etc. Of course, this is your choice.
