GBK.Xscape Posted October 21, 2006 Share Posted October 21, 2006 first of all i seached for this problem and people didnt seem to have it with acronis so i thought it would be ok to start a new topic. .ok so i am booting using acronis os selector and i installed osx and the first time i rebooted it went ok and now i took the dvd out and tried to boot using acronis and it says HFS+ partition error. i tried rebooting it with the dvd but the countdown gets to zero and it wants to reinstall again. any one have any suggestions. thanks for the help. GBK.Xscape Posted October 21, 2006 Author Share Posted October 21, 2006 tried it an no luck. i dont know what it is because i have installed it before and this never happened to me. i didnt do anything different this time either. my partition is AF and i am using acronis os selector. does any one know what i can do? In your other thread you said you had "the same partition set up as last time", which according to my previous inquiry you confirmed was osx on a primary ("yes you did restate my partition set up correct"). Which turns out wasn't true after all... I've also seen you many times in dilnalomo's guide thread, where over and over again it's been said that the osx partition must in the end be primary, otherwise there'll be problems. (and don't go blaming windows or the HP lady on the phone... ) Just a friendly suggestion: next time you seek help, do provide accurate information about your setup; you'll then get quicker and better help. Ziadantosh Posted April 26, 2007 Share Posted April 26, 2007 Thanks buddy for the topic, I changed my HFS+ partition from to Primary and that solved the problem for me But I want to ask, doesn't doing fdisk /MBR deleting all the MBR ??? so what the idea of it? I Followed the forum and typed fdisk -u /name/of/device/here and it asked many questions that I didn't understand anything. I'm still having the error. What could I do? Thanks... Same error, but if i check...the partition with leopard is marked as active...so I don't know what to do. I can only boot with the OSX86 dvd. I have used the flag method too.
