mitch_de Posted October 5, 2015 Share Posted October 5, 2015 The preview app from Apple had problems in the past with picture corruption and other thins like "HWJPEG not avaialble on this platform" in the console log. That happen also to real Mac users! I used in Yosemite an bit older preview version to avoid this problem. Now with El Capitan the problem is back. I can open jpegs and use the effects (saturation, sharping,...) bit it stalls and is very slow. And the message HWJPEG not avaialble on this platform is shown in the console. Nvidia GT 440 GPU, Nvidia Web drivers installed. OpenGL, CUDA, OpenCL - all works with other apps. Any solution for that? SOLVED: I changed Mac Id from Macpro3,1 to iMac13,1 - now problem fixed.
