hello all i happen to have an amd athlon x4 860k and a gigabyte ga-f2a68hm-ds2h. i am wondering how i would be able to install on this board. the board has hd audio, gigabit ethernet, usb 3 and it does have a ps/2 port and  i am also running a geforce 9600gt. i would like to know what i would need to check off when customizing the install to make it work.

Basically Should be installed OS X on your hardware, in how far your GeForce 9600GT is capable of QE / CL, I can not write with security.
which OS X version you intend to install? read here a few how-to's how to prepare the BIOS for OS X and what you all needed it to install OS X.

first read here:

read this post from icex3, but use a more recent kernel (all Yosemite kernels are also backward-compatible, within Yosemite):

if you should have any questions, then write in the Help toppic in AMD range.

good luck!

on which operating system you can access at the moment?
It give a tool that is called SystemInfo.app, this tool is available for various Operating Systems, install the tool, then start the tool. then you get an overview of the installed Hardware Components with Device ID and Vendor ID, the image of the evaluation upload here. possibly can quickly fix the problem. then the last Yosemite kernel ( see above under download) is compatible with your CPU !.
