mc86
I'm interested in triple-booting with Windows and Linux, and I'm wondering if it's better to install a separate SSD for each OS, or just partition a larger one. I'll also be using an HDD (probably 2 or 3 TB) for files shared between OS's and backups, so the size of the boot drive isn't an issue. Any thoughts? Allan
A advantage of use separate SSD/HDD is that you can avoid problems with partition, like: erase the wrong partition, or lose some files. I use multiple partitions on same HDD, but when i'll make some modification, i always do a backup first.
mc86
Would 128 GB per OS be sufficient?

Mrengles
Would 128 GB per OS be sufficient? This should be enough for OS X, Windows or Linux... Really just depends on how much data you plan to save onto each partiotion, but you know that already. For just a basic OS install this would definitely be enough. Separate drives would be the better, and give you allot more partition options. But if your on a budget you can definitely partition a larger single drive for multiple operation systems. Good luck! Allan
2D and 3D graphics, plus some gaming in Windows. Hmmmm. Well, some game files is big. And creations of 2/3D programs are big too. But is a good size, if your money can, try buy a more large SSD for the current SO, the one that you'll use more. Like: 250GB
mc86
Yeah, I was thinking 128 or 160 for Mac OS X and Linux, and 250 for Windows.
Allan
Yeah, I was thinking 128 or 160 for Mac OS X and Linux, and 250 for Windows. If you frequently work with Windows, then, do it.
