I need some help getting Yosemite installed on my desktop. I built this desktop a few weeks ago and did not think to look on these forums before buying my parts. The last time I did a hackintosh was several years ago on a Dell Mini 10v. I have no clue where to start and what the whole process would be, if someone could point me to all the right places, that would be wonderful. I already have a Yosemite .iso ready. I do not have direct access to a mac, but if I need to I'm sure I have a friend that will let me use theirs.

My specs:

Motherboard: MSI X99S Gaming 7

CPU: Intel i7-5930K

CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GT

RAM: Corsair Vengence LP 32GB (4x8GB)

GPUs: 2x nVidia GTX 980 Ti

SSD: 240GB Corsair Neutron XT

HDDs: Seagate 7200RPM

I appreciate any and all help. Please do not say "Should have gotten part x instead of part y" or something along those lines, I had my budget and I bought the parts that I wanted. That is what matters most.

I will suggest to you that you need to go to www.rampagedev.com and look at the information for building an X99 hackintosh. They have more information about using X99 than any other place I have found..

Your parts list looks good for a build. You might get a start by using a 8 or 16 GB USB to load Yosemite on. That much will require a Mac running at least Mavericks. I would recommend using Clover as the boot loader of choice.

you can create the installer on the usb key from windows with BootDisk Utility:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/283190-bdutilityexe-make-clover-bootflash-with-macosx-distr-under-windows/

you need to learn and test about clover config.plist, and when booting on your installed mac os x, then look for missing drivers.

rampagedev will help you with clover configuration.

cheers
