Hi everyone,

first of all I´d like to say “Hi” to everyone, as this is my first post on here.

For a couple of days, I´ve been trying to install Yosemite 10.10.4 on the following system:

HP z820 Ivy-Bridge-EP Dual Xeon 2643v2 3.5GHz

64BG (8x8) PC3 14900R @ 1866Mhz ECC Buffered

Samsung 845DC Pro 400GB on AHCI #0

EVGA GTX 750

HP Thunderbolt Option Installed

1125W PSU

HP Liquid Cooling

with both

Clover and Chameleon, tried different USB Drives as well.

Whatever I do, the system get´s stuck with a ACPI CPU kernel panic, which is literally telling me that my 13th core on my 12 core system is messing about, ugh haha :)

I´ve tried all possible boot arguments, different plist.config files, messed about with all possible BIOS settings.

Tried Clover UEFI & legacy bootloaders, and never got past the kp as seen in my attachment.

I´m losing faith, especially as I´ve made quite some effort to gather all info available on the web, regarding this Hardware ( HP z820 ), and have taken all of that into account in one attempt or another.

No one else seems to have had this kind of trouble so far….any help would be much appreciated.

Jules

hi mate, thanks for the quick reply. i´ve tried that, and the only difference it makes it that the kernel spits out 7 instead of 6 cores...then panics. any suggestions?

edit: i´m using NullCPUPowerManagement.kext as well...

Somewhere in this forum, there's a patched AppleACPIPlatform to avoid this kind of panic

Nothing´s changed. Vtx is disabled, etc pp. Please excuse my stupidity, but I´m assuming that Clover isn´t loading the extra .kexts at all. I put them into the 10.10 folder on the USB drive. I don´t really know what path to put into ForceKextsToLoad...pls advise on this. Many thanks!

It now says: Refusing new kext com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform, 9.9: already have prelinked v.3.1

VT-d ≠ VT-x, use the boot flag instead.
