hello guys

it seems this tablet amd cpu is not supported by most amd kernels , i dont see why but oh well

specs :

Acer Iconia tab W500 :  amd c-50 cpu with hd6250 graphics , 2gb ddr3 ram and 32gb ssd , insydeh2o efi 3.5 NB bios v1.14 year 2011 , ahci enabled , no uefi option in bios

i am trying to install one of the following os x : lion , mountain lion , mavricks , yosmite

so far i tried myhack 3.3.1 and did usb installer from yosmite app from appstore , i also got lion app from my older hack and BOTH of them HALT after 5 seconds of booting with amd patched kernels

what should i do ?

screen shot :

i also tried a distro at first but failed so i am going back to make it as vanilla as possible

my distro tryout failed to start installation but it loads most kernels at first then it hangs/black screen

this is the distro link :

loading here your Extra folder as a zip file, and start with the operating system that works and create a raw dsdt! with AIDA64 or DSDT-Editor, I had already written to you. then we'll see.
Then you should specify which OS X version do you want to install, we can concentrate us on only one Version!!

Edit:

and create images of your BIOS settings, this you have done so far.

i have windows 8.1 32bit updated working fine on the device now

i wont install lion on the internal ssd for now until i see its giong real (i have 2 Usb sticks one for installer 8gb and the other one 32gb for installing the system )

lets concentrate on the osx lion first ... i heard its the most stable for amd for now

i used aida to get raw ssdt , dsdt , xsdt and a full hardware report

the attached files.
extract the EXTRA folder and thus into your USB Stick
the drivers for the HD6250 should put you in the folder  /System/Library/Extensions/  ... please before you overwrite the original drivers in S/L/E , make a copy of them.

The package must not dsdt you install because already the DSDT.aml is in the Extra folder.

test and report

ok trying now :)

using bronya rc13 renamed as mach_kernel

update : i just put -v in the flags and i saw all the kexts loading very fast then black screen !

without -v device gets stuck on apple logo only , no loading circle

update : rebuilt installer cache using my hack fix and still stuck at black screen with -v flag

1. Which kernel are you using?

2. Test with: -v -f npci=0x2000 cpus=1 usekernelcache=no graphicsenabler=Yes ( or No) and report

and when the system stuck then make a picture and upload it.

I write from my my Galaxy Note4 ... sorry, I have now read that you used Bronya's kernel

you need to read what boot flags are suitable for your hardware ... google it. ....maybe with -x and the other flag

test it with this revised mach_kernel for Lion 10.7.5 with SSEPlus (by Tora Chi Yo) , I hope that will work for CPU "AMD C-50" (AMD Hudson-1, AMD K14).

Maybe try to boot with these flags: "-v -f -x npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes (or No) USBLegacyOff=Yes". --> (without quotes).

Also You can try flag "USBBusFix=Yes", but do not use this flag with "USBLegacyOff", only one of these two flags you can use, not together.  And try to do the same without "-x" flag, if it boots.

p.s. Use it with Tora Chi Yo kernel.

ok trying now

-v -f -x npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes USBLegacyOff=Yes

-v -f npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes USBLegacyOff=Yes

both stops at :

Mac framework successfully initialized

using 8519 buffer headers and 6307 cluster IO buffer headers

-v -f -x npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes or No USBBusFix=yes

stops after loading kext and before the screen font changes to a smaller one

Which version of chameleon bootloader did you used? Use the last one. I've modified config little bit in extra folder, you can try it. And also I saw that Spakk added some patched kexts for your video, I've added them into "Extra/Extensions". But still there is no guarantee that your video card will work, because it's officially not supported, maybe dsdt will need to modify again, and maybe you will need more fixes for your video card, not just dsdt or kexts, it's little complicated. Search for other boot flags, and like @Shaneee said, use clean version of mac os x. Also check bios settings, read this post by Spakk:             #2367            . Anyway try it. But I suppose it will not work, there should be done more than that... If not work, then wait for Spakk, maybe he can figure it out.

i am using 10.7 vanilla usb installer done using myhack 3.3.1

as you see from above ... we are trying to make lion work on this device

i have all the vanilla apps/dvds needed to make 10.6/10.7/10.8/10.9/10.10

at first i expected the yosmite zone would work bet it seems not , same problem like this one

my installation boot disk stops at the usb stuff

i read about the amd guide from this link FAQ section that the usb  is the problem .. so i tried what immortal said to me , usblegacyoff and usbbusfix ,,, both didnt work

i even unplugged my mouse and keybord  while booting and problem still exists

i saw an amd guide here in insanelymac for the 10.6.2 iportable installer that works on acer iconia w500

i downloaded the iportable but i didnt manage to complete the copy progress "using a mavrics 10.9.4 vmware image" because copycatx app with iportable is too old to be used on mavrics

i am stuck now :/

maybe a USB Kext would help .... idk

@sniper
....I have you not forgotten, unfortunately I'm stumped.

The best, if you using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 for your USB Installer, or you use clone of a running Mac OS X 10.7.5.
it looks in the pictures, so that the kernel does not harmonize with the OS X version (a guess).
In addition, remove from /Extra/Extensions/ the two drivers: ATIRadeonX3000.kext and ATI5000Controller.kext, perhaps they are not suitable. Maybe, I've not managed correctly to patch the drivers.?

proceed as follows:

1. Create a backup of the current vanillia lion 10.7 on a free parition

2. Update to 10.7.5

3. Create with CCCC a clone of 10.7.5 to the HDD from your AMD hackintosh.

4. Make changes to your AMD HDD. Install bootloader ... Insert the contents of the Extra folder, wthout the two drivers, AMD kernel etc. ...: such as

5. Installing the HDD in you AMD hackintos and boot with it

It is unfortunately out of distant only conditionally possible to help you. where possible if the hackintosh was here, one thing by up to 1 hour work, then the system to start.
