themacmeister
I have been attempting to install Mac OS X 10.9.5 onto this motherboard with a Core-i5 2300 and a GTS 450 1GB. This particularly troublesome graphics card worked up to the 10.9.5 update, and then stopped working after the next reboot (after a successful 10.9.5 first boot with full QE/CI). I could never figure this out, and believe me, I tried almost everything (including custom DSDT). I reverted to 512MB GeForce 8400 GS, just to test how it works, and it works perfectly OOTB, meaning the GTS 450 was the problem all along. I installed with myH*ck install USB, and latest ##### for Mavericks. The one thing that is puzzling me is that custom SSDT using latest script, does not enable turbo modes at all, and dropping SSDT via Chimera freezes the computer early in the boot process. This is with AICPM patch applied. Please note, BIOS is NOT UEFI, so using Chimera 3.x Sleep does not work (instant wakeup), but apart from that, the only other issue, which I fixed, was DVD Player not finding a valid DVD drive. Fix found on tonymacx86 site ...using IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext All the rest is tip top (I will post the ALC662 kext I used if needed, but you should be able to find it, it comprises 3 files, including ALC662.kext). Any guidance on the SSDT issue would be most appreciated, I would love access to that last 300MHz turbo boost. (I have double checked, and EIST is enabled in BIOS).
