Hello All!

I'm going to buy a new Books Photo Album via iPhoto, and I've already the Apple's Login, but a question in my mind make me crazy:

Can Apple look "through" (OSX-Software inspection?) my order and recognize my hackintosh ??

Can someone tell me something ? Have you been bought a Books ? :P

Thank you very very much!

Why would apple care as long as you are paying them? Also what would they do?? Unleash DCMA Lawyers on you??? Or Wait mybe Maxxuss, would magically appear, who actually worked for Apple all along, disable you Homebrew

I frankly donot belive, Apple would actually bother, I have run software update so many times to get Java, iTunes etc. No problems.

Wait maybe thats coz I live in India

Hell, I actually go through the registration screen with my real info at every install, and guess what? No Apple lawyers knocking at my door yet. There is probably no way for them to tell if you are using a legal or illegal version of OS X, and I really think they couldn't care less, other than doing their best to keep it out of the hands of the casual user. Let's face it, if Apple really had a huge problem with us, they would have shut this site down ages ago, and made the system much harder to crack. The situation is just like with Microsoft. To the average consumer, it's too difficult to get ahold of a warez version of Windows XP, and too much trouble to deal with activation and WGA cracks. Microsoft knows this. The also know that there is no way they will ever stop the people who are determined to run an illegal version.

They both make things just hard enough to keep away the average user, but not so hard that the determined people can't get things going.

Long story short (too late, I know), I'm sure you'd be fine buying an iPhoto book with your hackintosh. I haven't done it, but I do plan to sometime. I have bought stuff through iTunes though.

I do, and that's because I'm against pirating songs. Applications and such I take a different look at. I just don't want the RIAA coming to my doorstep and cuffing me + I want reliable quality audio. Have you ever listened to some of the tracks from a Gnutella network? They have watermarking and errors most of the time.
