Hi,

I'm trying to install OSX Yosemite on the following setup:

  • Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K
  • Memory: 2x 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport BLS8G3D1609DS1S00
  • Nvidia Geforce GTX 970
  • 2x 500GB Raid 0 drive (Used for storage Windows 8.1)
  • 1x 250GB Samsung 840 Evo (Windows 8.1 drive)

The following will be used as a fusion drive to install OSX Yosemite to

  • 1x 250GB Samsung 850 Evo
  • 1x 1TB Western Digital Green

So the first thing I want to do is install OSX Yosemite to a USB Disk (1TB), create a fusiondrive and copy the USB Disk files to the fusiondrive. But I can't even get in the install of OSX Yosemite. I see the Apple logo briefly flash when booting from my USB Install drive (32GB Sandisk Cruzer). I tried using Clover and several guides but I can't seem to get in the installation of OSX Yosemite.
I've read alot about patching the bios using PMPatch of UEFIPatch. But also that this isn't needed with Clover. I've used UEFIPatch to patch the bios (didn't flash it yet), here are the results:

So should I flash the bios of my motherboard with the patched file? Or are there other settings I can do to install OSX Yosemite?

For installation follow the following guide:

This is a supplement guide for fusion and follow the Clover Bootloader installer sections when you install the bootloader post install. :

Make sure to use the Nvidia Disable Flag when booting!

For post install:

With fusion you must install the Clover Config and SSDT onto the USB first and then follow the supplement Fusion Guide.

You have a lot of reading before you start.

Hi Rampage Dev

Thanks for the guides, I have fully installed OSX Yosemite 10.10.4 on my PC with a 1.2TB Fusion drive. Everything is working perfectly! However I now have to switch my SATA mode in BIOS to AHCI because of OSX not recognizing any internal drives when on RAID mode. Is there a fix for that or doesn't OSX support bios RAID mode?

Intel RAID via Chipset is not supported. Can you post a IOREG so I can verify the SSDT for the motherboard. Thanks.

Hi Rampage Dev,

Maybe I'll remove the RAID Drives and just add another 1TB drive :)

I didn't find an option on the forum to upload the IOREG file so I uploaded it via fileupload. Here's the link:
