Laavuska
Hey folks!First I want to apologize because this may be more general subject, but because Im using El Capitan, I thought this might be ok. Im using El Capitan Developer Preview 2 with Clover 3229. I give some background what happened. My idea was to change my old Asus board's cooler when I messed up and bent some socket pins. The result was a dead board. I got my new board, Gigabyte z68ap-d3 and then installed it. When I loaded to the bios, I realized that this board did not have UEFI although I thought so. Still I was able to boot to my El Capitan partition. However, Im not able to boot with the usb installation disk, which I consider valuable if I need to make some changes which may break the installation. When I try to boot from the USB drive, it says "Loading operating system..." and nothing happens. Guys, what do you think, what would be the safest/best route to get system to recognize/load the USB disk? Im asking from you because I dont want to do anything stupid at this point. Thanks for the help! :-)
Laavuska
Well, I got it working by just using legacy boot loader for the USB instead.
lpranal
Just curious if everything is working for you in el Capitan - I have the same board - is there anything special you had to do to get it up and running?
