Using Niresh or any other form of installing MacOS except the retail installer is frought with problems. You can't update to a new (dot) version of Yosemite using Niresh.

Start with an 8 GB USB drive and load Yosemite installer from the Applications folder. Install Clover boot loader and install Yosemite onto your PC.

It is really simple with a lot of planning first. What is you hardware list? What plans do you have for booting the installer?

Do you have access to a Mac running Mavericks or Yosemite?

These answers will give you help in installing MacOS X onto a PC

So the only way to have an updatable Hackintosh is by installing the retail... I tried clover but I don't know which config file I need!

this is my laptop , I don't figure out how to configure my bios because there are very few options!

Anyway, I think I need a new thread, where can I start it?

Thank you.

I add this part from my other wrong section's thread:

Hi guys, I've got this laptop where I'd like to install Yosemite, I tried Yosemite zone but here someone advised me it's a bad choice, so I have to try out with retail, but since I made my last Hackintosh years ago, I don't know which are the new tools I have to use, I tried with my hack method but It stuck at apple logo and I tried so many boot flags... I read on the web that I have to change the vram or use clover, so I tried this one, but I think I configured it in a wrong way...

Important point: There's Intel HD Graphics 5500

And a question: Can I upgrade at every update or just the dot ones?

Thank you all in advice!

Here I am, I tried retail (from the Mac App store of my desktop Hackintosh) with Clover following the guide you linked me, I read also this guide on the forum and so I have to ask a question, I found out that I can enter to advanced options of my bios by pressing A+F10 at the startup time, then can I edit graphics options by bios without editing bios manually? Thank you!

I managed to install Yosemite retail with Clover, I installed Clover on HDD and now I want to reinstall Windows 10 on the HDD space I left free. Any suggestions?

Btw, I have these problems on my Yosemite installations:

  • No percentage battery available
  • Very low brightness
  • No audio (I know I can use Voodoo but I'd prefer patch AppleHDA, for a better result)
  • No network (neither bluetooth nor wifi, haven't tried yet ethernet)
  • Despite my laptop sleep function works, when I wake my laptop usb port don't work anymore! (I found out that I should disable Internal CPU PLL Overvoltage in bios, but I don't find this option)

Thank you!

You say FREE? What does that mean. Is it another partition on the same disc? You can not install two operating systems in the same partition.

I meant unpartitioned space, of course I didn't mean the same partition of Mac OS!
