graphine
Hello, I installed Yosemite 10.10.3 on a series 8 motherboard (h81) and Intel i3 4370. From what I understand the graphics should have native support but I have no qe ci. I don't use dsdt. I'm using chameleon and I tried different boot args with no luck. The motherboard only has a vga port, could this cause a problem? What can I do to fix this? If chameleon is the problem, can I install clover (I heard it has better support for intel grapics) over chameleon?
GhostRaider
From what I've seen, VGA isn't supported on OS X using Intel HD Graphics 4600, only DVI or HDMI. Regardless of what you do on Chameleon, you won't get QE/CI. In a situation like this, as long as the motherboard has a PCI-E 16x slot, you can buy a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card. Peformance would be better with a dedicated GPU anyways. If not, then you may have to return your motherboard.

GhostRaider
Thank you for your fast reply. No problem, and if your interested in a dedicated GPU, the cheapest option is to get an EVGA NVIDIA GT 740, assuming you want a modern GPU. A used GPU would work about the same as long as its not been used for a long time. If not, there are posts out there that can guide you on what GPUs are compatible.
