juanmiret
Hi all! I'm having trouble with my laptop HMDI port in Yosemite 10.10.3 with CLOVER 3229 Intel Core i3 3217u - HM 76 - HD4000 All is working fine in LVDS, but when i plug it via HDMI to my 24" TV at first the colors are distorted, it looks perfect and sharp in terms of resolution but with awful colors. In the Screen panel it detects it as "MStar Demo" and gives me 3 resolutions to choose: 1080p (default) 1080i and 720p. If i turn it to 1080i, the colors looks great, but in terms of resolution it looks awful, almost illegible font. In 720p the colors look awful again. Then i discovered that when i plug it, the tv is recognizes it as DVI, not HDMI, i and in the TV settings there's nothing related to this. In Ubuntu all works fine, at 1080p with real colors and recognizing as HDMI. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance IOReg.zip

juanmiret
Try this: http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2945-guide-for-enabling-vga-and-hdmi-in-intel-hd4000-gpu/ Thank you so much, it worked, but it is so strange, now the TV detects it as HDMI and the 1080p colors work great, but, in terms of resolution, now the 1080p looks exactly like the 1080i before, with crappy fonts very uncomfortable to read.. it seems like in DVI mode the output is sharp with excellent resolution and readability but with awful colors, and now in HDMI mode the colors look great but the resolution and readability sucks

toleda
in terms of resolution, now the 1080p looks exactly like the 1080i before, with crappy fonts very uncomfortable to read. TV setup; look for full pixel or one to one setting and enable.
