shwick
Hi I was wondering if I could try dual booting my current desktop so I don't have to buy a new hackintosh. Lots of questions, like will changing the dsdt file affect my windows install? Has anyone got dual boot working? I guess I'll have two bios settings saved one for windows, one for osx.Asrock extreme3 gen3i5-2500k @ 4.4ghzasus strix 970gtx8gb (2x4gb) gskill120gb crucial m4 ssd250gb samsung 840 evo1tb seagate wd blackI'd be partitioning 60gb off the samsung 840 evo for the yosemite install. So far haven't gotten virtualbox or vmware working with yosemite so I'm heading in this direction. Also trying a cloud mac service but the lag + lack of install is bad.
nawcom
I looked at the specs for that motherboard and it looks fine by me. Your Realtek gigabit ethernet model is supported through RTL81xx.kext, GTX 970 is supported by NVIDIA's Yosemite Web Drivers, ALC892 will work fine on VoodooHDA but if you want to go the patched AppleHDA route I'm sure you could. Go make that install media as this will probably work out just fine.

shwick
Hey nawcom I've been browsing the nvidia web driver forums and it looks like hdmi works with applehda out of the box unless I'm mistaken. So I'm not sure if I need to patch applehda.
