I'm attempting to get sound working on my laptop using the dummyhda method and the files I found for ALC271x here: https://github.com/Mirone/ALC_Laptop_Patches

I used patch-hda.pl and followed the instructions from this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298027-guide-aio-guides-for-hackintosh/page-2?do=findComment&comment=2030060

to generate the accompanying Clover patch. SIP is disabled with clover flag 0x67.

On boot, all I see in console is:

9/30/15 5:39:24.000 PM kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDAController at line 560

9/30/15 5:39:24.000 PM kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDAController at line 417

and, after booting with no caches, I see nothing related to AppleHDA in console while rebuilding the cache.

I had this same method working on Yosemite. What am I doing wrong?

Attached is an IOReg, my DummyHDA, my DSDT, my clover config and my codec dump.

Acer Aspire v5-171-9661, i7-3517u, hm77 chipset.

edit: I needed an IRQ fix patch for my DSDT. Using the same DummyHDA I used for Yosemite, sound now works for El Capitan.

Hey man...

can u give me dummy method for ALC271x that working on 10.11.3.

mine Acer 4739.

thx

In 10.11.4 There are some little modifications to do in your dummyHDA.

i am not sure if this is help your problem, but i am not put the kext on clover but inside S/L/E. Good Hack  :(

Do I need only a kext to get the alc887vd to work?

Alc887vd same with me

use AppleHDAPatcher then opening - full Patched AppleHDA Folder-  iniside MironeAudio folder on Desktop instal 2 kext with any kext utility to installed, Good Hack

Hi guys,

I'm lost here.

I've succesfully installed El capitan 10.11.3. Everything works except the audio. I tried to use AppleHDA Patcher but i got an error when try to use it :

HDAEnabler.kext created with layout-id 3!
Zeroing 10ec0885 codec
occurrences 1 of 2 expected patched!
occurrences 2 of 2 expected patched!
Zeroing 11d41983 codec
occurrences 1 of 2 expected patched!
occurrences 2 of 2 expected patched!
Patching 11d41984 with 10ec0269 codec
occurrences 1 of 2 expected patched!
occurrences 2 of 2 expected patched!
AppleHDA binary succesfully patched!
failed to patch layout3.xml.zlib..
AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext/Contents/Info.plist patched!
Problem patching xml files, aborting

My codec dump taken from Ubuntu says i've a ALC271X but AppleHDA Patcher says i've ALC269. In any case whatever codec i chose i always have these 2 errors. What am I doing wrong ?

well i did with trick . Newest version AppleHDAPatcher 1.2 supported 10.11.4

after install El capitan

- drap and drop appleHDA.kext origin into  AppleHDAPatcher

- select your model sound

- generate folder Mirrone on Desktop

- Install aDummyHDA.kext with kext utility

- modify config.plist of clover

- copy codecommander.kext into clover/kext/10.11

that's all. when i got new version osx we just install adummyHda.kext

It fails because you are
trying to patch a AppleHDA
which in fact is already patched,
be sure to have a vanilla AppleHDA in
S / L / E.

Thanks for the fast answer! About the codec choice which one should i chose ? The one written in the core dump ALC271X or the one AppleHDAPatcher told me in the info ALC269 ?

ALC271x is a variant of ALC269

AppleHDA Patcher shows you

0x10ec0269 that your device ID.

ie ALC271x is a renamed ALC269.

The differences are in their PathMaps and Pinconfigs..etc ..

so the best choice would be ALC271x.

Ok. So here is what i did. Dragged my original config.plist from clover bootloader then my original untouched applehda.kext. Selected ALC271x and generated the patched files thanks to your app.

Then i replaced my config.plist in clover EFI partition and moved the kext aDummyHDA.kext in the /S /L /E using kext Wizard. Rebuilded the cache but after reboot i still don't have audio. Am I missing something ? How can i troubleshooter my problem ?

Thanks Mirone

Problem solved.

Ubuntu didn't recognize correctly my codec. I found on another forum a guy who wrote that for my laptop the right coded is ALC269VB v2 even if ubuntu detect is as ALC271X. So i chose the right codec in the patcher and after the reboot i've sound. Thanks  Mirone for this great tool

Just to post some tests I did with setup @ OSX 10.11.4

- Dell Latitute E6510 with nVidia NVS 3100M, i7 Arrandale, but no sound. DP>HDMI works with no sound.

verbit IDT 92HD81C5 (287143637):

00A71C20 00A71D10 00A71EA1 00A71F00 00B71C10 00B71D10 00B71E21 00B71F00 00D71C40 00D71D00 00D71E17 00D71F90 00E71C50 00E71D10 00E71E01 00E71F20 00F71C60 00F71D10 00F71EA1 00F71F20 01071CF0 01071D00 01071E00 01071F40 01171C30 01171D00 01171EA6 01171F90

- AppleALC.kext at my /CLOVER/kexts/10.11 and Layout inserted at Clover config.plist with <integer>3</integer>, just as shows in the AppleALC kext pinconfigs but no sound devices in settings. It will be hundred hours of time messing around with AppleALC with no results.

- I was trying to patch my Applehda.kext but am stuck at xml editing and stuff. Have not much time and concentration to do.

Just no analog sound (works with voodoohda) and no hdmi sound.

Can someone help me to continue?

Cheers and nice hacks for all. (PS Mirone, você é brasileiro?)

Thank you for your time. I will use VoodooHDA for the time being. With VoodooHDA 2.8.8. I have both Microphones working and all of my speakers working not all at once but the front or the rear speaker. With VoodooHDA my audio headphone jacks don't work. Which is fine for now. I can just a bluetooth headsphones as a work around. If only if I could combine VoodooHDA fix with your working dsdt.aml file which makes my audio jacks and front speak work with no patches. Thank you again for your value time looking into this.

Hi I have a hp elite 8000 with ALC 662 audio so I made my own using this guide http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295001-guide-to-patch-applehda-for-your-codec/and I've completed it even though I'm getting no audio and I have layout-id 12 and am injecting it via my DSDT and ill post the files but i can't figure out why its not working.

AppleHDA.kext.zip

DSDT.aml.zip

Could someone test these kexts and you tell me if they work

I've tried alc882 AppleHDA. At first install it goes but I had 4 outputs. When I've tried to reinstall I had no sound outputs or inputs.
