Nvidia Web Driver updates for El Capitan (UPDATE 07/11/2018)

can't work, web drivers have "OSBundleRequired" key  set to "Safe Boot". If no other OSX installations.. he need to boot the Recovery HD or the installer and delete it manually using the Terminal.

Probably removing NVDAStartupEwb.kext should be enough:

rm -rf /Volumes/YourVolume/System/Library/Extensions/NVDAStartupWeb.kext

Thanks. I could try that (can't do it in the recovery, though, because the recovery doesn't work with that video card).

I could try it by connecting my mac pro SSD to my macbook, but hm…

The problem is: even if I prevent the nvidia driver from being loaded, I still can't use my video card, because the default apple driver doesn't support the maxwell cards :(

I can only use the card with an nvidia web driver.

Has anyone noticed stuttering with 346.03.03f02? I have a GTX 970. It is very noticeable using the OpenGL Extension Viewer test. The rotating cube stutters quite a bit. I also notice a lot of stuttering in Diablo III just running around.

Here no such stuttering with GT 440, MacPro3,1 ! I think thats mostly if the GPU didnt run in full speed and stays at idle GHz which is only 1/4-1/3 of the max. speed. AGPM Probs (by wrong MacModell id)?

Wait: GT440 getting about the same FPS as my GTX 970??? WOW

THAT "Test" isnt good to bench GPUs. Much less to complex = less differences between gpus. Mostly CPU bound, not GPU bound.

I would use GPUTEST 0.7 for example which put much load on the gpu.

http://www.geeks3d.com/gputest/download/ ( LInk to Homepage Main Page http://www.geeks3d.com/gputest/ )

Furmark  and GiMark GT 440  - i am sure the GTX card will be up to 8 times faster!

I'm using GTX 750 tis on two hacks. One is using 10.11.1 and the (latest) 346.03.03f02 driver and works fine, like yours. The other is subscribed to OS beta updates and foolishly I let it update to 10.11.2. It won't start up properly - endlessly rebooting. I've disabled the nvidia driver in Clover options but am now stuck with 1024 x 768 slow graphics screen and would like to get back to 1920 x 1080. Editing the NVDAStartupWeb.kext to to use 15C27e doesn't work.

Any other ideas, anyone?

here are your options

- wait for nvidia web driver that supports 10.11.2

- install combo update 10.11.1 to revert the update (after editing System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist)
