txapeldot
I’ve got a Mac Mini and i’m trying to install Windows 7 into it in order to have a dual boot (W7-x86_64 and OS X Yosemite). I know it’s something i can perform by using the Bootcamp tool but it’s something i just don't want to do with such a tool due to the Bootcamp limitations (unique W7 and OSX partitions). Therefore, i’ve decided to install Windows7 natively in a pure GPT disk (not hybrid MBR/GPT disk). To do that, i’ve created a Windows7 bootable USB in EFI mode, according to the steps described in this link (the ones described in option two):http://www.eightforu...te-windows.htmlOnce it’s been created, i press Mac Mini's power button, hold down ALT key in order for the Mac Mini's default bootloader allows me to choose the system to be booted. I select ‘EFI mode’ but the screen gets black and nothing happens. Only pressing the ENTER key that loop is finished, and then OSX starts to boot.Could anyone tell me why the Windows7 install program isn’t started, and what i should do to achieve such install program being booted? Thanks. I take it back, Windows 7 is still installable, but you have to use BCA to go through every steps of Windows installation. New Mac Pro and other Macbook's minimum bootcamp drivers is for Windows 8 only, so I thought the new Mac Mini is the same. Check here
