After booting today OS X was complaining that there was no Bluetooth module, the bluetooth icon in the task bar had a lightning sign through it. I checked all I could, reinstalled kext, even restored from TimeMachine, nothing helped. Solution: Turn off PC, remove power cord and wait 10s, start PC again and voila, Bluetooth is back.
