Hey guys.

I read on a forum post (-link-)

- that a GT210 was used on Mavericks and it worked OOB.

Can anyone else confirm the GT210 works on 10.9?
Even if it requires a bit of work, I just wanna know it works.

Thanks guys

My Asus GT210 Silent 1GB works fine. Just needs gfx injection (I use DSDT but you could also do it from Clover or Chameleon).

I only use DVI but VGA worked when I tested it long ago (on Snow Leopard).

Cool man!

I currently use CloverEFI on my rig.

As I'm a slight noob on GPU's and their settings with OS X, could you tell me what I'd need to inject GFX?

I'm assuming this can be done with a Clover Boot Flag, yes?

EDIT: This GFX thing is "GraphicsEnabler=Yes", right?

A quick update:

I have ordered the card!

A quick warning to those who are doing the same:

MAKE SURE the card you ordered matches the one in the picture in Riley's link.

ASUS makes 2 versions of the 210, as far as I know.

Don't order the wrong one or you may face issues.

The only noticable differences are the *slight* size changes in the main cooling heatsink.

THAT is it. Be careful and compare wisely.

Also, thanks Riley!

I will show it working once it's sorted and once it's actually in my hands. (currently going through postage)

Yeah that should do it.

Okay.

I have the card.

It boots fine but I'm stuck at a 1024x768 resolution :(

Things that are causing this (I'm assuming)

1: I am using CloverEFI, but this card won't support UEFI according to the specs on the ASUS site.

Solution? Reinstall Clover normally and have it use GFX enabler automatically without me typing it in.

2: I have only set this to have 32 bit memory where the ASUS site says it should be set at 64bit in BIOS.

Solution? Change the memory setting, duh. :P

I'll post when I'm done.

Thanks again, Riley!

I've briefly used the graphics enabler options in Chameleon and UEFI Clover so they should definitely work. I just prefer to use DSDT injection. Try running bdmesg from Terminal to see what Clover is saying about the card.

If you want to use fast UEFI boot (CSM disabled) you can flash a custom rom with UEFI support to the card. Andy has a tool here that will splice in the UEFI bios from a Gigabyte card.

Okay.

I need to thank you man.

You've helped me so much.

I got it working about 5 mins after posting my last post.

I just forgot to reply.

I was genuinely pleased, so much that I ended up clapping for no reason and shouting "F**K YES" and my dad overheard me.

"What happened?" he says

Anyway, I got it working by using Chameleon in BIOS, no UEFI clover (I'll see in a minute if it works)

I used GraphicsEnabler=Yes and THAT'S IT!

SO damn simple.

Thanks again man, really can't believe I've finally managed to make a fully working Mac with acceleration. ~

EDIT: Forgot to mention, 1080p BABY!

I installed 10.9.5 Maverick on this configuration
CPU: AMD FX8320
MOB: Asrock 970 Extreme 3 rev 2.0
RAM: 1x4GB Kingston Hyperx 1600Mhz
GPU: Asus GT 210 Silent 1GB DDR3
The graphics work , but often some programs like Illustrator , Photoshop or Digital Photo Professional ( a Canon software ) , freeze and crash with the related errors that I am attaching .

Can anyone tell me if this problem is given by my video card ( Asus GT210 Silent ) , the low amount of RAM , or system ?
If the problem is the video card , what video card would you recommend to buy ?

Sorry for my bad English !
