shrieken213
I have a cheap HTPC build that I'm trying to make work with some spare parts I had lying around (e.g. 4770K on a H81...). Now I know HD 4600 is fully supported when it is injected correctly, and this is the case in my 4790K + Z97MX-Gaming 5 build. I do all my injections with DSDTs, not Clover masks or kext patching unless it is absolutely necessary. In fact I literally copied the injection settings from the original DSDT to the H81M-H since the 4770K and 4790K share the same IGP, and sure enough QE/CI functions. The difference, it seems, is that the motherboard itself is causing instability in QE/CI (and instability in general). After a while it locks up without warning or debug codes. For example, having MAS open for a couple minutes will cause a lockup. The monitor is being driven by a HDMI out to a TV; making sound work with the build is a pain in the butt as well since MaciASL also seems to cause crashes. I'm also suspecting power limitations since this powers 4x3.5" RAID 5, 2x2.5" RAID 1, power hungry 4770K and a RocketRaid card all with a 250W PSU. However, after testing it with the voodoo magic of dual PSUs I don't think this is the problem. Anyone have any ideas for this thing? Thanks in advance
