SamSpeed911
Hello, I successfully installed Yosemite on my HP Notebook, but I have several Problems and tried nearly two days to solve it but with no sucess. Missing brightness: tried some kexts, nothing helped. There is also no option in bios to set up brightness. Brightness is usually in the middle so not to use on day. Several apps for using brightness did not make it brighter, only darker. No shutdown and no restart,: No solution. Maybe removing NullCPUPowrmanagement might help?? Cannot try at the moment because I have again Solaris 11 installed - need to work... When using FN Key, the System completely freezes. Would be very nice to find a solution for that. Also if I work with Battery and plug in Power, the System freezes completely. Whats now working: GPU (Nvidia, but without brightness), Bluetooth, USB, LAN, Sound, updating Yosemite from 10.10.1 to 10.10.3 also worked without any issues. Not working: Fingerprint (not sure but did not see any option or settings for that), WLAN, Card Reader Please help especially for brightness and the freezing problems. My system: - Intel 965 Chipset - Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 2,4 GHz - GeForce 8400M GS - 82801H Sound (ICH8) - R5C832 IEEE 1394 Controller (Card Reader) - Intel 3945 ABG (Golan) WLAN - Realtek RTL 8101E/8102E LAN
