Hi,

this is quite a "double" post, but I didn't saw how to post on a graphic card generic path...

So I ask my question here, like for ATI.

I installed on my old pc (T3717.FR LEonite P5LE asus, E6400 dual core, Intel G950 on board, 4 GB ram, apple usb ethernet)

I run with clover, Yosemite 10.10.3, using legacy boot.

the driver of the intel G950 give me a lot of artifact when rendering the windows of the system, or applications.

it seems that this card is too old.

I don't wat to spend much on it, as I will build a bigger hackintosh soon.

Question :

what kind of video card (pci express) I could use, in Yosemite 10.10.3, with a modified kext, or without.

I don't need performance, I want just to have no graphic bug, and not too slow like my g950.

I don't have much money, so the less expensive

I found a lot of advice anywhere, but most of the time, I find user where it orks, and same where it does nto work  :o(

personnaly, I tested these :

nvidia 9800 GT : reboot during the boot

nVidia quadro FX 1700 : reboot during the boot

Intel 950G (on board) : works, but with artifacts, and slooooow  :o)

thanks for advice.

Olivier

Whats about newer, also cheap maxwell GTX 720/30 Gpus which use very low power?

I am happy with Fermi GT 440 , only major prob is preview not working (pic gets corrupt).

Any cheap (used)  kepler card recommended which works with preview yosimite?

GT 210/220/230 are very slow! Also MSI 8400.

That is 10.10's bug, fixed when 10.10.1 was released
