jrrjrr
MrDee-- These are COMBO updates which means they should work to update from any 10.4.x version in the particular flavor of your CPU.

miguelcerca
so...whats the difference with this 10.4.8 update and the last JaS release? are the frameworks decrypted? will we see a performance increase in rosetta? can JaS please list the updates this actually contains? thanks

Previous release was a delta release. This one is a combo release. The delta release updated a 10.4.7 installation. Combo updates 10.4.4 - 10.4.7. There were frameworks in both - never heard of encrypted frameworks. No new Rosetta included in either one and no new Apple kexts included in either one. MrDee
Ok, I just installed 10.4.8 Combo Updates and it was a success except for one minor problem. I am unable to connect to my Windows machine. I tried fixing alias but, cannot find it, I tried authenticating again, but no luck. Before restarting after the update installed, I had repaired the disk permissions just to make sure. Overall, everything seems good except for minute lag when opening windows and apps but everything is cool. To you from 10.4.8, thanks again Jas. Looking forward to 10.4.9, 10.4.10 etc and 10.5.
