Hello everyone, I'm going to start this off by thanking everyone for letting me be part of this community.

 

I'm gonna start this off by telling you all a little about myself. My name is Mike, and I am 20 years old. From a young age I've been a tinkerer, so naturally I got into computers. Around 2005 (I think) I got into Console modding, and modded my Xbox console. I wasn't a member of Xbox LIVE, so I got into Halo 2 Modding, and was part of the old HaloMods forums. I continue modding to this day (Not nearly as much as I used to though, maybe mess around with it once a week.) I recently purchased some new computer components, and now running a compatible Intel System, and I have almost a fully functional 'Hackintosh'. I mostly decided to try to install OS X just to have Windows, Mac OS X, and Ubuntu running on one machine. I like to have options of what I'd like to boot into. Around the time of middle-school (7th grade-ish) I started programming with Microsoft .NET and C#. I fell in love the the language, and programming was something I really enjoyed. I really liked UI programming, making my own controls and window themes to replace the default Windows look. The Windows UI is something that I've fallen in love with, but also hated at times. I want to get into development on multiple platforms (and not use something like Mono as a cheap "multi-platform" solution) Anyways, here I am, Making my first post on InsanelyMac. I'm glad to be a member of this community.
