tneely
i'm not 100% sure, but i've read that all the Radeon x1000 series have good support after using a patch, can't remember de name, but you can find it in the "hardware" section. x1600 is the default card in macbookpro and imac, so i think that is a good choice. hope this helps you. good luck
jcruzlara
Thanks tneely yea I know I've been looking into buying a X1600 pro but I've heard mixxed reports on the forums. I guess some cards work and others don't so thats why I want some one with a card that they know works.
Fossie
It all depends on your Mobo. I have an x1600 pro and get QE Ci Open GL. But have terribly slow speeds. (running at pci speeds). I have the nforce 3 chipset on my mobo.

Fossie
This should be able to explain it a bit better. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=20139 Thats about nforce 3. This is about x1600 http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=17767

joe75
That would be a VIA chipset. You can use a number if ATi cards and have QE/CI. Read around the forum and you will get a idea of what works or not. I can say that a X800XT works perfect out of the box
