Zeecar
Anyone else ran into this? I tried to revert to older kext but no success. 10.10.3 Installed a new AudioAUUC.kext so I replaced that first but still no joy. Asus k53e. Everything else is fine though. Allan
So man, the OS X 10.10.3 still beta...is not stable...this means = bugs, bugs and bugs! Do you try remove the AudioAUUC.kext?
Zeecar
Yep! I thought with my own Patched Applehda kext and dsdt there would be no worries. Oh well.

Zeecar
Actually the only files that were new reflects on AudioAUUC.kext, which I deleted. The other new kext is IOPCIFamily.kext which maybe the culprit? New Kexts are as follows. AudioAUUC IONDRVSupport IOGraphicsFamily IONDRVSupport AppleBacklightExpert System
Allan
Maybe... As is a beta version, we don't know the functions of these kexts.
derek.zhu
I got the same issue as well. Mine is alc892 on a laptop. I manually patched it and it used to work fine on previous versions. However, after the update and my patch to the applehda, no sounds present. Can't even see any Audio device. And the funny part is, if I reboot to windows right after without unplug the charger, though everything looks fine, ( when you play some music you can see the bar in the volume change dialogue is actually moving indicates there is sound output), however.you can not actually hear a thing. I just discover yesterday, in Mac, by closing the cover and opening it, the sound comes back( maybe sleep and wake)
Zeecar
Well I can finally see the device in the output panel, with internal speakers highlighted but no sound whatsoever.
