vijai
Hello, I have yosemite 10.10.1 hackintosh installed with insanelymac guide. Now, 10.10.2 being released, can I install it directly from app store? Or is there any method for doing so? Regards, Vijai

vijai
So once I take backup of SLE and save it in desktop, I can go ahead and update from store with no issues to bootloader right?

VirusX
as arthur says, if you have for example a patched AppleHDA.kext, the update will probably replace your patched one with the original file. If that happens, you have to apply your patch again. the same applies to other kexts, too. an update should normally not interfere with your bootloader
Codinger
As VirusX and arthur-pt say its never sure but you should backup all kexts (if you patched appleps2 for example and place them after install). Updating form 10.10.1 to 10.10.2 is 99,9% safe. Good luck and happy hacking OSBeast
