It Takes 15 minutes to boot Windows 8.1 and it is unpossible to work with. somebody has Problems too? I think it has something to Do with voodosynctsc? Or with the Kernel Patch? My specs: Intel i7-5820k Evga x99 ftw GeForce 660 ti Boot-Args: Kext-dev-Mode=1 npci=0x3000 nvdadrv=1 kexts: Voodotsc Nullcpu Fakesmc Thank you Frezy
jamiethemorris
Install GenericUSBXHCI. For some reason with X99 the vanilla kext gets tons of interrupts on XHCI which hurts performance quite a bit in general, not just in vmware. GUXHCI Does not have this issue, so that will fix your vmware issues and boost performance in general (at least according to benchmarks - someone mentioned gaining 3500 points in GB after installing the kext). Your other option is to disable USB 3.0 in the BIOS if you don't need it.
