marco.pisellonio80
Hi all. In my desktop in signature USB3 didn't work, so I installed the last GenericUSBXHCI.kext by Rehabman, adding the flag -gux_no_idle in ocbp. They work, but often USB3 device is not recognized, so I have to unplug and plug it again until it's seen. Sometimes I have to do this more times, and the only way is to boot with USB3 device plugged in, in that case the OS boot and recognize the usb3 device. Any idea? Have I to downgrade to Mavericks, where all was right?
Allan
Try this version: GenericUSBXHCI.kext.zip And add this boot arguments: -gux_defer_usb2 -gux_no_idle kext-dev-mode=1 About downgrade, i recommend you make a fresh install. But try what I said up before.

vusun123
The last resort is to patch the AppleUSBXHCI for native support. That way no more unstable USB 3.
marco.pisellonio80
Generic kext with flags doesn't work. I solved installing patched AppleUSBXHCI, here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/150-patched-appleusbxhci/ Thank you all for your help Bye
Allan
You made this in your Desktop or Laptop?
marco.pisellonio80
In my desktop. Until Mavericks 10.9.5 generic kext for USB3 went fine, with no flags. With Yosemite it's all more difficult, I think I have to stop here, my components are becoming too old for new versions of OSX.
