leveliv
I have an ASUS P5LD2-VM with a pentium D Dual core CPU and 4GB of ram using the onboard intel 950 video and a USB Ethernet adapter. I am stuck on 10.5.7 as when I update to 10.5.8 it breaks my USB and breaks my resolution (limits it to 1024x768) The same thing happens when I tried to use iAtkos S3 and Hazards 10.6.6i I was able to install but only two of my USB ports would work for my Mouse and Keyboard. Everything else wouldn't work. I tried having them all plugged in while installing to maybe see if that would jolt it into at least being powered but no go. So I googled how to extract my DSDT.aml file and I got it from my 10.5.7 machine. AFAIK I'm not using a custom one...cause I don't even know where to begin when using one. I have read all this stuff about editing them and patching them but I am still clueless. I installed DSDT Editor as well and I opened up my DSDT.aml file in said app but it was blank? So basically I am just looking for some guidance on how to use the files I extracted and how the hell I can get a working at least 10.6.3 install..I could care less about anything higher...Most programs I find have support for 10.6 at least..Not so much for 10.5 I would attach my DSDT.aml file but it turns out I don't have permission to. Finder says its 20kb big so there must be something in it.
carbo178
You must compress the file before attach it But i think you can't install SL or later on this system with a pentium D, i think you must change the CPU with a Core2Duo
leveliv
I have got sl installed fine and USB is working great.. Everything but the stupid graphics the system profiler shows that I have the 950 it just says that the kext isn't loaded.. I boot in 32bit mode and have used graphics enabler and neither works. I am also concerned about the update to 10.6.7 as I'm sure it'll break my lucky streak of fixing my USB and stuff
