mpalomba3 Posted January 30, 2015 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Hi everyone. I finally got Yosemite installed with full graphics acceleration and everything else working. My problem is that it refuses to boot unless I use the install flash drive. Ive installed C h i m e r a using M u l t i b e a s t and it begins to load the OS but gets stuck on still waiting for root device. To get the installer to boot I had to add some modified kexts to it and they worked fine when placed in the Extra folder of the install Flash drive. On Yosemite there is no extra folder in /Extensions so I made on and put the kexts in it but it didn't work. Then I used Kext Utility to install them into system/library/extensions and that didn't help either. How come when I try to boot using Chimera OS X doesn't load the modified kexts that I installed? Just to sum it up. I can boot to the OS using the my installer flash drive made with u n i b e a s t but any boot loader I try installing of the computer shows still waiting for root device Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
