brofessor64
Greetings! My new Hack appeared to be stable until I decided to use Paragon HFS+ for Windows. At first, there were minor issues during boot every now and then but it was able to repair itself until yesterday when it could not. Long story short, I completely wiped out the disk and reinstalled everything again, pledging to never interact between the two partitions from Windows again. However, when I run Verify Disk in Disk Utility now, it reports: Error: The partition map needs to be repaired because there’s a problem with the EFI system partition’s file system. It can be repaired, which I choose to. Ends alright with nice green text, but when I boot into Windows and back into OS X, the error is present again. (When I choose only the OS X partition, the message is: File system check exit code is 0. That, I believe, doesn't indicate a problem.) My question is whether that's normal behaviour, and if not, what could be causing it and how can it be prevented? Thanks! enlaid
It's bug in Disk Utility. First mount EFI partition and check disk. It's ok? Only if EFI is unmounted Disk Utility reports error.
