SPO-Fan
First, I´m new here and hope you could help me. I´m using 10.8.2 on my Notebook (see HackBook in my signature) with working graphics. I have resolution change and QE/CI, but openGL applications crash. I need to update my Notebook from 10.8.2 to 10.9 or 10.10 because of new iWork Apps. I installed it and everything works correctly except graphics. I have bad resolution and no QE/CI. Under 10.8.2 i used kexts from this guide:http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/285394-guide-acer-aspire-5738g-ati-version-mountain-lion-1082-possible-troubleshootings/But I use Clover as bootloader because of iMessage. Of course, under Mavericks or Yosemite the kexts from 10.8.2 are not working. I tried to make my own ATI framebuffer with this guides:http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/273937-guide-getting-xfx-hd6850-connectors-to-work/andhttp://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/252061-mobility-radeon-hd-4650full-resolution-with-qe-ci-working-on-internal-lvds-screen/but without luck. I got everytime black or white screens. In Clover I use Load VBios; Inject ATI; Inject EDID; AtiFramebuffer: Shrike; VRAM: 512. What I know from my VBios (extracted with AIDA64 under Windows; decoded with radeon bios decode and redsock bios decoder):Sense IDs: Transmitter: Encoder:LVDS: 07 12 04VGA: 01 00 10HDMI: 02 10 00 My Device ID is 9553. I tried this framebuffer:02000000 40000000 0901 0000 12 04 00 0710000000 10000000 0001 0000 00 10 01 0100080000 00020000 0001 0000 10 00 02 02I also tried this ControlFlag part at LVDS:00010000 What is wrong there? I also tried to extract the frame buffer from 10.8.2 kexts, but there is Peregrine used an in the ati_personality.pl output is no Peregrine. Please help me to make my graphics work with QE/CI and full resolution! I need the LVDS and the VGA connector. A working HDMI would be nice but is not so important. Thanks! PS: My Mavericks install app is 10.9.4, so i couldn't install an earlier version. PPS: I couldn´t attach my VBIOS, why?
