DONNYTEN Posted January 12, 2015 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Hardware- AMD FX 9370 8 core processor, 2 TB HDD, 8 GB Ram, Gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3, Gtx 550 ti Grpahics card, USB mouse, USB keyboard. Goal: to install Mountain Lion, Mavericks, or Yosemite for use with my audio production company. Further explained: I recently acquired an upgrade to my music studio, a piece of gear that will only work on a OS X called the " Apogee Duet". its a Firewire audio interface. This does not work on Windows Machines. I will be using this in a semi profressional environment. A decent mac is out of budget right now. What I've done. I've downloaded the OSX-Mavericks.iso. Using winDskimager program ( I think thats the name, at work atm) I write the iso to the flash drive (30 GB sandisk). When I restart the computer the computer will not boot into the installation. I've also tried Niresh 10.8.5, the dmg version boots into a GUI, that asks me if i want to boot from vista, boot from 10.8.5, and etc.. No idea what to do here. tried all of them but they never boot to OS-X installation screen. I have also tried the Niresh iso version of 10.8.5 using windskimager and it does not boot at all, goes straight to " starting windows" even after selecting boot options I have no idea what to do.
