TheDirTchamber Posted January 7, 2015 Share Posted January 7, 2015 Hi guys. I have an old HP 530 notebook laying around and I thought I would install osx on it. Now, I've read that this notebook's gpu (intel gma 945/950) is supported up to Snow Leopard (or am I wrong?), that's why I'm posting here. The specs are: Intel T2050 Centrino Duo CPU 1,60 Ghz 3 GB RAM 160 GB HDD Intel GMA945/950 (I'm not sure why it says 945/950, in device manager it shows 945 Express Chipset Family) Conexant High Definition Audio Intel Pro/100 VE Network (wired) Intel Pro/ Wireless 3945ABG Network (wireless) I've read the compatibility list here, but the specs seem to be a little different (Celeron, Broadcom wireless, etc.), so I need some help installing something that will work on this notebook. Also, I installed Maveriks and Yosemite countless times on my desktop and others, but I am a little clueless about older versions. So if someone could share a guide or some info, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you! P.S. I don't have access to a DVD writer or a Mac, so I need a way to make a USB stick with OSX on Windows.
