Hi,

New to all this...

Tried to turn my Dell X8300 into hackintosh using tonymac, which I now understand is a no-no!

So, is this even possible to do on my own?  I'm computer/Java savvy, and was able to install basic Yosemite using the Unmentionable, however I couldn't get Sleep / WOL working, and didn't get any response from their forum wrt creating my own DSDT.  I did create snapshot of the system's DSDT which I could post if that helps.

Here's some system info:

Processor:
3.40 gigahertz Intel Core i7-2600

256 kilobyte primary memory cache
1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache
8192 kilobyte tertiary memory cache
64-bit ready
Multi-core (4 total)
Hyper-threaded (8 total)

Board:

Board: Dell Inc. 0Y2MRG A00
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Dell Inc. A03 02/15/2011

I was hitting a kernel panic: "cpu 2 caller, pmLock waited too long..."

Any help / advice / direction appreciated!

cheers

David
