I created a bootable Lion USB drive using myHack from this guide:

The only steps I really followed were to replace the kernel in the myHack USB drive. I booted straight from the USB and installed Lion successfully with full functionality. I want to upgrade to 10.7.5 with the combo update but am afraid I'll break my install since Lion and newer are 64-bit operating systems and I'm running a 32-bit Core2Duo.

Is it safe to install the update? I'm not sure which kexts I'd have to reinstall using #####. I'm just afraid to update because everything is running perfectly but I've run into a few problems with applications and features because I'm not on 10.7.5.

I'd prefer to even upgrade to Mountain Lion or Mavericks if the same process would work, but I haven't found any evidence online confirming it would.

My specs -

Motherboard: ASUS P5W DH Deluxe

CPU: 3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

RAM: 2GB  800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

GFX: nVidia Geforce 8500 GT 512 MB

WiFi: ASUS USB-N13
