Hi, I have this wifi card that I bought because it's supposed to work right out of the box (which it does technically) but the thing does not get even close to my real wifi speed and is constantly disconnecting completely. I'm also not able to get 5GHz working on it but that's not as big of a problem. My current OS is Linux and on that I get a stable 55mbps download speed but in OSX, I get around 2mbps. The wifi adapter is the TP Link TL WDN4800. I really need some help with this, thanks.

I stopped using my WDN4800 on my hack thinking that it had gone bad somehow. But after hearing from you, I'll try it out with a different OS and see if it's still usable. I have one of the mini PCI wifi/BT iMac boards ordered from eBay which will hopefully work better. I've got one of the expensive Asus PCI cards in use now as well, but the iMac card should work better, or as good as, for wifi and add BT too for about half the price.
