I have attached AppleHDA from Mavericks with is working in Yosemite. If you find solution how to run audio with native Yosemite kext please inform us, thanks!

You should replace native Intel Centrino Wi-Fi card to be able to run Wi-Fi. I have used Broadcom BCM943225HM without BT. You can found Kext for it in Kexts archive.

Working:

  • Video
  • Audio (Mavericks AppleHDA patched)
  • Fn keys
  • Camera
  • HDMI Video
  • Battery
  • Sleep (not so fast, but seems it is working)

Known Issues:

  • Slowly switching off (Yosemite, I know here is field of improving)
  • HDMI Audio does not work

Need to be investigated:

  • Card reader. (I really don't think that Card reader is working).

Hope we can improve this system setup.

Not relevant information now (keep it here for medical history):

I have Yosemite installer on my HDD partition (to skip problem with USB 3.0: Still waiting for root device).
I currently have this Clover files (Link) on my USB and I trying to load my Installer of yosemite on HDD partition.
And I got output as on 3rd screen.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong and what I should do to proceed with installation. Mavericks was working with Zenbook UX32a my setup from Mavericks.zip attachment files.

Long story:

I had a problem with installation of Yosemite. Previously I have working Mavericks on this laptop. I have putted fresh Yosemite on usb and tried to load Yosemite installer from USB in safe mode with my previous setup files (from Mavericks) and I got Still waiting for root device problem. I tried to figure out what is wrong abut no luck. I decided that problem with USB 3.0 and I can fix it sometimes later. So I unpacked installer on one of HDD partition to skip this Still waiting for root device problem. It is have solved my USB 3.0 problem, but I cannot boot anyway (Please see attached screenshot).

After some researching of insanelymac forum i have found this post, where guy 12rithy have posted his files for Yosemite (You can download it from his attachment). I have used his clover forlder except dsdt+ssdt. I have replaced it by mine and remover -gux_defer_usb2 -xcpm key from boot options, because it cause instant reboot on loading. But with no success, the same issue appiered.

In both cases of my previous setup for mavericks and from 12rithy OS X Yousemity installer does not worked.

Guys, please take a look on my screen and files, maybe you know how to fix it?
Thank you so much!

Specs:

  • Intel® Core™ i5 3317U
  • Intel® HM76 Express Chipset
  • DDR3 1600 MHz SDRAM 2Gb internal + 8Gb Kingston
  • Integrated Intel® HD Graphics 4000
  • Broadcom working Wi-Fi card (Replaced from Intel)
  • 3x USB 3.0 (No 2.0 ports)

Bootloader: Clover r3065

Virtualization and Vt-d disabled in BIOS.

Post revisions:

  • 1. In case of PCI configuration End stuck (with my files) I tried to pass USBBusFix=Yes and got the same situation as with 12arity files (mbinit stuck).
  • 2. GraphicsEnabler=No does not help me proceed with mbinit stuck.
  • 3. I have tried with cpus=1 and got new output (3rd screen)
  • 4. I have removed slide=0 form flags and got new state (4th screen)
  • 5. I have placed AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext into kexts folder and got the same as with cpus=1. So I decided leave AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext and remove cpus=1 flag. Seems this is the farthest point where I was able to reach. I have uploaded my current setup (On Dropbox, because it is too big to be uploaded here). Please take a look. I don't know what to do next :(
  • 6. Please see update in TL:TR section. We have working system now.

Good luck! And if you got any problem with this hardware please ask here.

Hi, delete all your folders inside your clover and replace them with that in the Archive...

Report back :-)

Cheers :-)

Hi! Thanks,

I have tried this archive and got such state in safe mode:

And this output with "Without caches" or simply verbose option:

There is a problem with your screen... Graphics or Display...

I can't say what is wrong... Can you reinstall Yosemite? with an vanilla OS X installer + Clover...

It is vanilla installer created by createinstallmedia. Maybe I should check something? Or maybe you need some reports or logs?

can you try without SSDT ?

Just remove Droptables inside Clover config.plist

Done. I able to run installer of OSX (btw with wrong resolution, less than 1366*768 and interface is a bit laggy).

Let me try to boot installed system.

UPD: The same for installed system. Wrong resolution and very slow video.

Yes, we need to find right ig-platform-id again... the old one doesn't work in yosemite anymore...

I was able to boot  with 0x01660009. Should I try to use it with SSDT or without?

UPD: I got kernel panic both with and without ssdt entry and :
